Awards Dinner
Volunteers help create the rules and regulations for the annual commercial awards program. Committee members review applications and determine award winners.

Community Involvement
The Community Involvement Committee evaluates all charitable contributions (whether monetary or volunteer work hours) the association should involve itself with. It also sets award program rules, selects award recipients, and assists staff with emphasizing the importance of recognizing members who contribute to their industry and the community.

Editorial Advisory Board
Members help plan the content of Commercial Broker Quarterly, help secure sponsors for the publication and GWCAR's Web site, and assist in marketing/event campaigns as needed.

Education
Provide guidance on GWCAR educational offerings and help develop classes.

EXPO
Volunteers help to secure exhibitors and plan this annual event that highlights developments in a particular market.

Market Research
Members of this committee compile the Annual Market Consensus Report at the beginning of each year in time for "State of the Market"—a mid-year market research report. They develop networking & education events for market researchers in the metro area and are GWCAR's front line for media requests on industry statistics. The chairperson of this committee also sits on the Editorial Advisory Board.

Public Policy
The committee works with the joint GCAAR Public Policy Committee on issues that affect commercial real estate.

RealTOUR
Volunteers select a different area of the District of Columbia in which to hold a tour highlighting new and existing developments. Committee members help plan the event, secure sponsors & tour guides, and produce a useful resource book & promotional materials.

State of the Market
Volunteers help secure sponsors and speakers for this annual winter breakfast function. They also put together a comprehensive set of statistics that outlines the "State of the Market."
