On October 16, the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS^® (GWCAR) hosted its annual charity golf tournament. This year's tournament was held at the Kenwood Country Club in Bethesda, Maryland. A full-field of almost 100 golfers took part in the event, which raised over $2500 for Jubilee Housing.

GWCAR's participation with Jubilee continues its tradition of supporting Washington area charities through continued community service efforts. In the past, GWCAR's activities have benefited many organizations, including most recently, the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation and the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. GWCAR's Community Service Committee is proud to reward members who participate in civic and charitable organizations, while also facilitating donations of a portion of the proceeds from every GWCAR sponsored event to support causes and local charities.

Jubilee Housing is a faith based, non-profit organization which provides affordable housing and supportive services to economically disadvantaged residents of the Adams Morgan neighborhood of Washington, DC. Jubilee serves more than 850 individuals and families, and has been a model for programs around the country seeking effective responses to the urban affordable housing crisis. The vision and purpose of Jubilee Housing is about more than providing housing, it is about making it possible for members of the community to become their best selves in an atmosphere of support.

GWCAR is a regional trade association dedicated to serving commercial real estate interests throughout the District of Columbia, Suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia. GWCAR strives to make the greater Washington area more conducive to business.
