The Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS^® (GWCAR) used a portion of the proceeds from its June RealTOUR event in Washington, DC to make a $2,000 donation to the Perry School Community Services Center.

The Perry Center is a non-profit corporation that works to address poverty issues in the North Capitol Street area of DC. The Center's mission is to eradicate the causes and consequences of poverty by assisting in the development of area youth and the stabilization of families. The donation continued the work of GWCAR's Community Involvement Committee, which provides funds to area charities. In the past year, GWCAR has made donations totaling more than $12,000 to charitable organizations, including the Komen Race for the Cure, National Rehabilitation Hospital, ChildHelp , and Jubilee Housing.

GWCAR is a regional trade association dedicated to serving commercial real estate interests throughout the District of Columbia, Suburban Maryland and Northern Virginia.
