More than 90 people attended the Greater Washington Commercial Association of REALTORS^®' (GWCAR) Regional Breakfast Meeting about the future of Tysons Corner on Friday, June 24 at The Tower Club in Vienna, Va.

Chris Sowick, Senior Vice President of Trammell Crow Company and GWCAR Virginia Regional Chairman, served as the moderator.

Speakers included Tony Calabrese, Partner at Cooley Godward LLP, who represented the owners of Tysons Corner Center; Brian Tucker, Principal at Diamond Property Co., who represented the Lerner Corporation and their vision of the Tysons Galleria; and Marcia McAllister, Communications Manager at Dulles Corridor Metrorail Project, who provided a progress report of the extension of the Metro system in Tysons Corner and Dulles. Peter Rosen, Managing Director of Lerner Enterprises, answered specific development questions about the Tysons II office complex and Tysons Galleria.

The speakers presented the proposed development plans for their respective sites. The focus was on the comprehensive nature of each project--how it ties in with office, residential, retail and the Metro; timelines; development obstacles; etc. A question and answer session followed.
