Phillip S. Thomas Jr. Named WDCAR 2003 REALTOR® of the Year
Phillip S. Thomas Jr. has been selected as the Washington, DC Association of REALTORS®' (WDCAR) 2003 REALTOR® of the Year. Phillip was chosen for his extensive expertise in marketing and leasing space in existing and renovated buildings, as well as for his dedication to the Washington, DC real estate market and the local community.
Phillip has served on the WDCAR Board of Directors and has served as chairman of the association's New Development and Zoning Committee. He currently serves as immediate past-president of GWCAR and is a life member of GWCAR's Million Dollar Leasing Club. In 1996, 1998 and 2001, he was the metropolitan area's leading producer in the Developer Agent category. At this year's commercial awards dinner, he was named GWCAR's 2002 REALTOR® of the Year.
Phillip was a founding member of and served on the executive committee of the Phillips Collection Contemporaries, served on the organizing committee of charity events for both The Traveler's Aid Society and Jubilee Housing and has served on the strategic planning committee of For Love of Children (FLOC).
Phillip is a graduate of Episcopal High School and The University of Virginia, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in history. He lives in Arlington, Va., with his wife and two children.
Phillip is a Senior Vice President of the DC leasing group of Carr Real Estate Services. Phillip joined The Oliver Carr Company in 1986 and is currently responsible for the day-to-day leasing of both new and existing properties. In 1992, Phillip received the President's Award from Bob Carr for "exemplifying the core values of The Oliver Carr Company Mission Statement." In 2001, he also received the Jim Hawkins Award, CarrAmerica's highest service award.
