GWCAR Gains VAR Local Board Status
Could MAR Be Next?

At the request of Chief Executive Officer Chuck Ebert, CAE, RCE, the Virginia Association of REALTORS^® (VAR) will recognize GWCAR as a local association beginning in 2004.

This move allows GWCAR to have three delegates to attend VAR's Delegate Body meetings at their two annual conferences. The Delegate Body elects members of the Policy Board of Directors and VAR's NAR Directors. It also approves proposed changes to the bylaws and strategic plan.

Our 2004 President and President-Elect will be invited to attend President and President-Elect Forums at the two conferences. Ebert will participate on the Association Executives Council.

Meanwhile, the same request was sent to the Maryland Association of REALTORS^®.
