Ruggiero Moves On, Ebert Is New CEO

Diane Ruggiero, CAE, RCE, who served as Executive Vice President of GWCAR and the Washington, DC Association of REALTORS^® (WDCAR) for the past six years, resigned from those positions effective April 28, 2000. Diane accepted a new position as Director of Partner Relations for Microsoft HomeAdvisor Technologies. Diane guided GWCAR through its fledgling years as a local commercial real estate association. GWCAR is now one of the largest, most successful commercial broker associations in the country.

"I've truly enjoyed my years with GWCAR and feel honored to have met so many bright, energetic, and successful members," said Diane. "The DC REALTORS^® have always been willing to give their time and expertise to the association."

Chuck Ebert, CAE, RCE is the new Executive Vice President for GWCAR and WDCAR. Chuck has more than 16 years of REALTOR® Association experience. He earned his Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation in 1990 and his REALTOR® Association Certified Executive (RCE) designation in 1995. He has developed and implemented professional development and member service programs for five different associations, including GWCAR, over the past 16 years.

"I am very happy to be working with Chuck as Executive Vice President of GWCAR," said GWCAR President Susan Thomas. "His knowledge of the association industry and the real estate business make him an ideal candidate for this position."
