GWCAR To Offer Course on Commercial Real Estate Agency

On Wednesday, October 25, 2000, real-estate-litigation and brokerage attorney Paul Bellegarde of Shulman, Rogers, Gandal, Pordy & Ecker, P.A. will present Legal Aspects of Real Estate Agency: Mindful Topics for Commercial and Residential Brokers and Agents in the Current Cycle.

Learn the secrets to better listing and commission agreements; how statutory, contractual and procuring cause issues fit into the picture; and general agency and dual-agency concerns. The class will address how to avoid unwittingly arming other parties with claims about your performance. Letters of intent and what remedies are available for commission - payment breaches or breaches of lease - will also be covered. And, learn about the creative strategies you can employ to protect yourself or your clients, before and after the deal is inked.
