TransACT Sets The Standard

Beginning in September, GWCAR will setup an e-mail listserv exclusively for its members.

Messages sent via this listserv, called TransACT, will adhere to all the above Federal Communications Commission (FCC) regulations as well as the new GWCAR suggested "Standard Method of E-mail Communications."

This will serve as a vehicle for exchange of property information, advice, leads, etc.

Here's how it will work:

  1. You will receive information in September on how to subscribe to TransACT and complete a very short subscription process.
  2. Once subscribed, you may send real estate-related messages to the listserv address (transact@list.gwcar.org).
  3. GWCAR's computer systems will verify that all messages are sent by GWCAR members in good standing and quickly scan messages to make sure they adhere to all of the above points before messages are sent. If they do not adhere to these requirements, they will be sent back to the sender with an explanation of why it was rejected. Repeat offenders will be removed from TransACT.
  4. Once approved, your message is released and sent to all TransACT members. From that point, members may reply to your message directly to you or to the whole group.
The great feature about a listerv is that members must subscribe to it (i.e., it has a built-in opt-in option) and may unsubscribe at their will.

Look for details on how to subscribe coming soon via e-mail, fax and mail.
